CAMRYN VAUGHAN, BORN IN 1999

**BIO**

Hi there! I’m Camryn Vaughan, and it’s a pleasure to find you!

Art has been a part of me for as long as I can remember. Some of my earliest memories are of painting with my Gigi in her Arizona home or splashing color on the walls of old houses with my parents. Over the years, painting became my escape, my outlet, and my source of light.

But life threw me a curveball when my dad passed away suddenly during my junior year of college. It turned my world upside down. After taking my paintings down from the walls of his Stillwater, Oklahoma post office, I was left staring at an empty space, void of anything that reminded me of my Jeff. That glow inside me seemed to disappear. I packed away my brushes and threw myself into the motions of adulthood, trying to fix myself by achieving things and moving forward.

I knew I needed to keep creativity alive in my life, so I pursued a degree in fashion and started my career as a fashion buyer. I loved the work and the opportunities it brought, but it didn’t nurture my creative spirit. Without space for painting, the glow began to fade again.

Five years later, a quiet but persistent pull led me back to the canvas. This time, I painted something for my dad—not for his office, but for his memory. Inspired by his prized Porsche Targa 911, I painted it as a way to keep him close, even while sitting quietly in my living room. What I didn’t expect was how much that painting would spark a flood of memories, stories, and connections. It reminded me of the power of art to heal and to share.

The joy of seeing how my art impacts both me and others has been transformative. Returning to painting has given me a profound sense of peace and connection, and it’s brought me closer to my dad. The glow I thought was lost is now brighter than ever.

**If you’ve purchased a painting, a print, liked a post, or sent me an encouraging message, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your support means more than you know, and it fuels my glow every day.**

Thank you for being part of this journey!

XO,

CAM
